Mission and vision
The establishment of a National Haemophilia Council (NHC) was approved by the Government following the recommendations of the Lindsay Tribunal in 2001. The Regulations placing the Council on a statutory footing were signed by the Minister for Health and Children on the 22nd July, 2004 and amended to include the Health Service Executive in the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2007.
Mission
To advise and recommend on the optimum provision of treatment and care for persons with Haemophilia and related Bleeding Disorders.
Vision
To set the international benchmark for the provision of effective advice and inclusive involvement in optimising the management of Haemophilia.
